Not connecting to Honor 9 Lite

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

I bought a new phone which is the Honor 9 Lite and I believe this isn't a compatible device. Could you please make this compatible as I used the Fitbit everyday and its annoying not being able to use it now.

Thanks

Chris

Welcome to the Forums @C_4kner.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Our team is aware of the need to add more devices to that list. Please know that further testing is still being done.

In the meantime, some users have reported that following these troubleshooting steps has worked whenever their phones were not on the list. Please keep in mind that this doesn't guarantee that it will work or that the  phone will be able to sync.

Please feel free to let me know if you have nay further questions.

Hi it is quite a few months later and it still doesn't work. Doing the troubleshooting doesn't work either, do you have any intentions in making this compatible as I don't want to upgrade my watch from an alta hr to another without it being able to work.

If you have any updates I would be happy to hear them.

Hello @Dannidoo98.

Thanks for sharing your feedback on the matter.

At this moment there aren't any news on when we can expect the Honor 9 lite to be added to the list. While not optimal you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and sync your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to sync with other devices.

Also, be sure to support this suggestion to add the Honor 9 lite to the list. You can comment on it and vote for it to show your support. Be sure to read the FAQ to better understand what is the best way to move forward.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi,

Is there any update on this? I also have an Honor 9 Lite.

I have just been bought a Charge 3 for Christmas and I am unable to use it.

I have a Mac so tried to track through my laptop however for it says for a Charge 3 you can only use a mobile setup.

Thanks

Welcome to the Forums @SunsetRunner.

I apologize for the delay in my reply.

At this moment we do not have an ETA or time frame as to when we could expect that phone to be added. Do you have access to another phone that you could try to sync?

Welcome to the Forums @Paulmalton. Hello @SunsetRunner.

Let me help you figure out what is going on.

@Paulmalton Could you go a  bit more in-depth into what is going on? What software did you download that caused this to start happening? Also, I'd recommend that you follow the steps listed in this help article to get the correct time on your Fitbit.

@SunsetRunner In this case you'd need a supported device to try and get the Fitbit to sync. If you have not, be sure to try the steps I recommended above. While we cannot guarantee that the phone will work, there's a chance that the steps will help.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

I've just found this and tried it with for bit instead of garmin and it worked!,      OK so I've searched high and low for this but finally have my Forerunner 230 and P Smart in connection all the time. This worked for my wives Honor 9 lite as well so thought I would share for those interested.

Make sure you already have the device connected in both Connect and via your phones Bluetooth. It should be listed as a connected/trusted device

Go to Apps & Notifications > Apps

Find Connect and click Battery

Click Launch and turn off Manage Automatically

Turn on the 3 options below and save

Go back in to Connect, wait for the device to connect and close the app.

Wait 30 seconds and the device will connect again automatically.

If you close your apps in bulk with the trash can icon, it will kill the connection and you'll need to open Connect again for it to work.

This has taken me a few weeks to work out but I hope it helps others.

Welcome to the Forums @keska3.

I apologize for the delay in my response.

The connect app that has been mentioned in here is definitely a third-party app that you need to download. It is important to mention since it is not developed by Fitbit, we cannot guarantee that it is a safe app.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Re: the suggestion above from Jitus to fix. Thanks a lot for this, it sorted out the issue with my versa and honor 9 lite phone. If anyone else is reading this, I think the "connect" app actually means the Fitbit app. Probably a weird auto correct issue.

Hi,

At the begining when I first set up my Honor lite 9 and charge 3 it worked, however now it isn't working and keeps telling me to restart my phone, which I have done and it still doesn't work, this is really annoying. As having notifications on my fitbit is really helpful. Please can you fix the glitch.

Connect is the Garmin app; the poster's steps were in relation to syncing a Garmin to an Honor 9 Lite. Replace Connect with the Fitbit app, and the steps should work.

(I know this is a dead thread but it comes up near the top of the list when searching for Honor 9 Lite connectivity issues)
