Not getting notifications from Motorola Moto Z4

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Motorola Moto Z4 with Android 9 and I am not receiving any notifications on my Charge 2 HR. I have tried everything possible to troubleshoot this issue, it started after the Fitbit app updated a while ago. It's not an issue with my phone settings considering I also have a Charge 3 paired and the notifications work fine with that device. I'm frustrated to say the least, please help!

Hi @daninhelena. Welcome! It's good to see a new face around.

Thanks for letting me know about the notifications issues experienced on your Charge 2, as well for every step tried prior posting. While checking your details I noticed that your Motorola Moto Z4 doesn't appear in our compatible devices list and this might be the reason of this situation. Your phone might have fulfilled the minimum requirements and that's the reason why it was working before, however as with any other app, the Fitbit app will be optimized to work with phones based on their model and the changes implemented in their OS.

While there isn't a guarantee that all the features will always work with your phone, we can still try some steps together. Please take your Charge 3 to another room and try the following:

  1. Remove your Charge 2 and any other device from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby.
  3. On your phone's settings, tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  4. Go back one screen and tap on force stop.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Reboot your phone and restart your Charge 2.
  7. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  8. Choose your Fitbit and follow the onscreen instructions.

When your tracker is reconnected with the Fitbit app, set up the notifications one more time. Make sure the Fitbit app is allowed to run on the background and to have turned on the notifications on your Charge 2 by holding the left button.

Keep me posted.
