Not receiving notifications on Versa Lite with Samsung S7

I just got a brand new Fitbit versa lite on Thursday February 13. I set it up so that I could receive notifications and phone calls. Everything was working great. On February 14th I had to update my samsung galaxy s7 to a newer system. I checked to see what version and it is version 8.0. Since then, I have not been able to receive text notifications or phone calls. I tried impairing the device, logging out and in onFitbit, restarting my phone, and even deleting my versa and putting it in my Fitbit app again. What can I do to fix this issue?

I did all of that and I still am not getting it to vibrate or show the notifications. I feel as though this should not be an issue considering my Fitbit is brand new.

Thanks for troubleshooting this matter with me, seems odd that even after trying the steps from my previous post you're still experiencing issues with the notifications feature of your device. That said, please try the following steps and let me know if the issue persists:

 

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.
