I have a Blaze Fitbit and I have a Samsung Galaxy 9+ and have for 1.5 years with no issues. About 1 month ago my text messages do not come through on my Samsung. I have dug into the settings, checked the notification settings on my Fitbit app as well as ALL of the settings on my phone.
I recieved Messages from Facebook, Snapchat, Phone calls but no texts. It is very annoying to say the least.
I may be going with the Samsung watch if I cannot resolve.

Hi @Scott-Jenkins, thanks for bringing this to my attention, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums! Sorry for the delay in responding.
I appreciate the details that were shared in your post and your effort troubleshooting this situation prior to posting, totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Blaze are correctly configured and to re-setup the notifications feature.
After verifying the above, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.
Keep me posted.

I have the same problem. Interesting thing is that we get all kinds of notifications. Just not from text messages. And I have tried both the Samsung app and Google's messages app.
And I have an s8 so it's not specific to the s9

I have a Galaxy S8 and I've been having major syncing issues. I've uninstalled the app, restarted Fitbit, turned bluetooth on and off, restarted my phone over and over and it's STILL having sync problems. Occasionally it works after I restart my device, but I can't be restarted my device throughout the day. Is there anything else I can do? I'm thinking about just returning the Versa due to this problem. I need those notifications since I cannot check my phone throughout the day.

Yes I tried everything mentioned.
The really surprising part is that I get all kinds of notifications. Just not from txt messages.

I have a pixel 3 and a blaze. I've been dealing with this for a while now. You are not alone! Doesn't look like the new update did anything to help the issue either.
