Not receiving text notifications on Versa 2 with Huawei P30 Pro

Upgraded from fitbit versa to versa 2 a week ago, yesterday my fitbit versa stopped receiving text/message etc notifications. App states notification service not working need to restart phone. Have restarted phone on numerous occasions, re-checked all the settings and still not working. Had the same problem with previous versa.

Hi @AigaJ, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Fitbit are correctly configured and to try some troubleshooting steps.

Let me know if the issue persists and if you have any additional questions.

Hi @RicardoFitbit,

Thank you for a quick response....I'm afraid I have tried all the steps and it still doesn't seem to send the notifications. The app keeps saying "notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker"

Many thanks

Kind regards

Aiga

  • I am having same issue with my Huawei P30. Can't get it to sync or send notifications. Also getting same message about phone restart. I have done all the trouble shooting over and over multiple times, including device factory restart. On my Bluetooth screen it shows Versa Lite as synced device but also has Versa Lite (classic) as a choice but with a PlayStation controller symbol beside it. This choice will actually link on device but no notifications etc happening still. I've also reach out to Fitbit contact on twitter DM and no one has even read it yet...Getting extremely frustrated. It's only 6 months old.
