Not receiving text notifications on Versa 2

My son just purchased a fitbit versa.  We have it synced to his tablet, it is a android 10 tablet.  We can't get it to send the messages to the versa we receive a " this feature is not available on this device" is there a way to have messages from Android tablet to fitbit? Thanks

Thank you I guess that explains it . His tablet is not on the compatable list we assumed because it was running a android 10 that it would work.  Thanks

Has power management been turned off for the Fitbit app, then try a restart. 

Does the test notification function work.
