Spent an hour on the phone with Fitbit Tech Support, researched numerous other threads... rebooted the device and phone many times, unpaired and paired the device many times; the settings are enabled in the Fitbit app and in the Fitbit notifications app on the A20. Still I cannot receive text messages

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for troubleshooting your device prior to posting too. Since some troubleshooting steps were already tried, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Charge 3 are correctly configured. After verifying this, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.
Keep in mind that the Samsung Galaxy A20 is not listed as a compatible device with our products and services, therefore, you can experience some connection difficulties with it.
