My husband and I both have the Fitbit versa and he randomly stopped receiving texts messages about two weeks ago even though all the settings are correct and we've tried resetting the fitbit and app but still nothing. I just received a replacement versa this week and dont receive texts anymore either although phone calls, emails and messenger work. I don't normally have messenger as my primary app for notifications but I tested it and I did receive the message on my versa although I dont receive actual texts when the setting is for my phone messages. Before my old was stopped working, I was receiving messages with no problem. I've tried disconnecting bluetooth, restarting my phone (Samsung Galaxy S8), restarting the app, restarting the fitbit by pressing the left and bottom right button, made sure the phone was synced properly, the notifications settings were correct and we still cant figure out why we cant receive texts through our fitbit anymore.

If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Versa are correctly configured. After verifying this, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.

I too have lost all notifications from my Samsung S8 to my Versa. I've tried everything on ever official troubleshooting page (reinstalled app, restarted versa, reconnected via bluetooth) multiple times, and nothing seems to work. I can't even get the test call notification to the device. I can see that their should have been notifications when I pull down on the screen they are listed there, but nothing alerts and nothing vibrates.
What next?

might have your notifications off on your actual fitbit. Press and hold the
left button and the notifications setting should pop up. See if that's on
or off. That happened to me before and it turned out my setting was off.
