Hi there @Tamra79, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! I'm wondering what type of exercise are you doing? How did you track your exercise? Are you using any feature like MobileRun or SmartTrack? Also I would like to confirm what tracker are you using? I saw in your Community profile it is a Charge HR, so let me know if this is correct.
This details will allow me to have a closer look to the issue you are experiencing. Also I'm curios to know if this happens in a daily basis. In the meantime perhaps a restart on your tracker will do the trick, based that you mentioned your exercise was not recognized.
