I am new to Fitbit. I noticed it failed to track a treadmill workout last week. I made sure to turn on the activity tracker before I started my workout. I did just over 3 miles in an interval run. The Nike Run app captured the distance within a few tenths of a mile to the treadmill. However, the fitbit app said I ran .31 miles and that my workout was 33 min. It was actually 47 minutes. Also the Fitbit app says my distance today was 3.07 miles for the entire day. I did that in my workout, plus walked a few more miles while running errands. Please help or provide tips to improve accuracy during workouts. Thanks.

Hello @TyCFit, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! I'm wondering if the exercise with 0.31 miles you recorded is the same exercise you mentioned was not track in the treadmill? I'm a bit confuse with he interval run and the treadmill workout.
Thank you for the screenshot you have shared. By just looking in to your images I can say the distance was not properly recorded based on the map course of the exercise. This is why I'm asking if the exercise you are doing is related, because in the screenshot, I can see the exercise was recorded using any of the GPS features (Connected GPS or MobileRun).
When you used the GPS, the distance will depend on the GPS of your phone and here apparently either was recorded indoors or there was a lot of environment interference that wasn't helping to keep a constant connection using your tracker and the GPS.
In other words the environment you are in can affect the signal strength of GPS. For example, if you are running in an urban environment with many tall buildings or threes, it may take several seconds to get a fix or in the worst of the scenarios the connection might get interrupted.
Let me know under which conditions were recorded the exercise and if this is happening on a daily basis.
See you later and keep me posted how it goes.

I gave it another try, but again it is very off. Last time was a treadmill workout, this time I went for a walk outdoors in a residential neighborhood. I ran the Nike Run and Fitbit Apps simultaneously. Nike tracked the walk at 2.14 miles and Fitbit recorded the distance at 1.75 miles. It also had an inaccurate pace. I have gone this route before, so I know the Nike app was close to spot on. Not sure why Fitbit is so off for my runs and walks. I am not reaching my miles per day goals, when in reality I have walked or run more than that distance.
