Notification Will Not Go Away On App

I have a Galaxy S9 and have had a notification on my actual app since I got the phone.  It is a red number 1 and I have done everything in my power to make it go away and it will not.  The long press on the app does not allow for you to clear this notification, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app as well.

Do you have the Keep Alive Widget On? This gives a notification to appear on the app icon. You can turn it off. I don't use it and I've not lost any functionality.

Do you have the Keep Alive Widget On? This gives a notification to appear on the app icon. You can turn it off. I don't use it and I've not lost any functionality.

I'm having the same issue but my "keep alive widget" was off to begin with. I can't figure it out.
