Notification alert will not clear

About a week ago (it might have been shortly after an update) I suddenly got about 50 notifications. I was able to clear a few of them but it's still showing I have 29 new notifications/messages and they will not clear.

I've gone through all my messages and notifications and none are showing as new. I've cleared data and cache, updated the app twice since then and still show 29 notifications. Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks for letting me know about the notifications tab, as well for the steps that you've tried so far. Our team has been receiving feedback about the Fitbit app prompting to check notifications when they were already read. They're aware that has been affecting some of our users, we'll continue to monitoring this behavior so they work and bring a solution for all our users. Be sure that this hasn't gone unnoticed.

Well it dropped down to 27 alerts instead of the 29 I originally had, any progress on this??? It's very annoying to have to remember the number to see if there are any new messages or notifications.

Ok this has been at least 3 weeks now - Has anyone been able to clear their notifications?? I'm still showing 27 and they will not go away.

I also have a slew of notifications that will not go away.
