Notifications don't work when changing email in Microsoft launcher

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
If I add my company's mail address to Microsoft launcher on Android (besides my live address), the fitbit notifications (not the fitbit app-notifications but the messages which are send from my phone to my watch) do NOT work anymore.

If I remove my company's mail address, reboot my phone. It starst working again.

Hi @SunsetRunner, welcome back to the Forums. It's always great to see you here.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, and I'll help you out with this. Just a question, does this affect call, text and email notifications? Also, have you made sure that your phone, Fitbit app and Fitbit device are updated to the latest version?

Just to ensure that everything is set correctly, please verify the following conditions:

  • Turn off the Do Not Disturb, as this feature prevents your phone from sending notifications. Find this setting under Sound and notification.
  • Make sure your phone receives notifications while locked. Find this setting under Sound and notification.
  • Make sure the Fitbit app can run in the background on your phone.

If you've not done so, I'd recommend to try these steps:

  1. Remove your Fitbit device from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Reboot your phone and restart your Fitbit device.
  3. Open the Fitbit app, tap the Account icon > Fitbit device image.
  4. Tap on notifications, turn them off and on making sure to sync after each change.
  5. Try receiving notifications on your Fitbit device.

Keep me posted.

Hello, it is very simple.

- My android device is working fine
- notifications from my phone arrive on my watch
- I add my (with intune managed) working account to the Microsoft launcher an a red messages tells me that the notifications service is not working anymore and I have to reboot (a reboot does not work)
- if I remove my work account again it all works like a charm. And notifications will arrive on my watch Again.

Any idea?

Hi @SunsetRunner, welcome back to the Forums. I'm glad to see you here again.

Thanks for sharing more details of the issue you're experiencing. I've noticed that the issue with the "notifications service not working" message was experienced by our users last year, however this was resolved with an update for the Fitbit app. Since you're having this issue, please attach a screenshot of that message in your reply so I can take a look into that.

In addition, please provide me with your phone's model and Android version. Also, verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the 3.2 version.

I look forward to your reply.
