Alerts with vibrations continued after disabling SMS notifications (and removing relevant permissions and disabling all notifications) in the app, even after restarts and syncs.
WORKAROUND: Enabling notifications again, then immediately disabling them, did successfully stop the notifications.
APPARENT BUG: The app did not properly detect its own changed notification setting. My redundantly toggling the setting caused the internal flag to reflect the correct state, finally.
