Notifications stopped and steps disappeared on dashboard

My dashboard heading including steps has disappeared so I can't go into set up on my phone and  notifications have stopped on my watch..please help

Let me help you figure out what is going on with the steps and the notifications.

 

For the notifications, the first thing I'd recommend that you try to follow the steps listed in this help article. While you might have tried some of those steps, please try to follow all of them in order.

 

In regards to the steps disappearing, could you share some screenshots of what you are seeing, or not. That should help in getting it to work.
