Notifications won't work on Versa since upgrade

I used to be able to receive texts, messenger and snap chat notifications on my Fitbit versa and since the recent upgrade I get nothing. I have updated the apps I want to receive notifications on my versa and also gave permission for the apps from my Samsung S9 to send to versa and still nothing.. Am I doing something wrong?

@SunsetRunner Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried. 

It's pretty weird that you're not receiving notifications anymore. I would like you to force quit your app, reset Bluetooth, restart your Versa, refresh notifications and set them up again, find the instructions here.
