Nutrients summary shows incorrect data

After the most recent app update, the "Nutrients" summary is wildly wrong.  On the "Food" page under "Maconutrients," the app correctly totals the carbs, fat and protein based on the individual items I have entered.  When I click on the "Nutrients" link, the "Nutrients" don't match the carbs, fat and protein and are about 7-10 times higher than the accurate amount.  The internet dashboard accurately displays everything so it's clearly something in the app.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but that didn't work.

Fingers crossed!! It appears this might be fixed!!

Still not working. Losing patience. It  shouldn't be this hard to correct code to calculate food entries.

You've been reporting the same thing since last year at this time.  I have to watch my sodium intake because I have cirrhosis and this is unacceptable.  I also pay for premium.  Are you going to refund it?  When will the next update be available?  This shouldn't be difficult to fix and it's been a year by all accounts!

Agree :hundred_points:!! This is why I haven't joined premium and does this fall under
warranty to get my money back since the tracker does not work? Considering
Garmin. This should not be a hard fix and has been going on way TOO LONG!

Hello everyone!

Thanks for reaching out regarding the food log tool on the Fitbit app and your feedback. I understand this is a feature most of us use each and every day. There are currently some problems with the food log in general. I assume the tool is affected overall. Fitbit is working on a solution already. Please wait for the next app update. I appreciate your patience.

Have a nice day!

All... for those individuals who need to track their sodium...visit the web app and you can see your sodium intake for each day (up to your last sync).  Unfortunately the following is NOT available in the app: sugars, potassium, cholesterol, and saturated fat.  I am most interested in sodium. sugars, potassium and sat fats.  You can also go to manage data and download up to 31 days of data...but...it still does not provide the sugars, potassium, cholesterol and sat fats....those are only available from the mobile app.  😞  😞  would be nice to get all of the nutrients online and in the data extract.

@JC8888 I appreciate your input and suggestions.

I believe this is related to the general issue affecting the food log tool. Regardless, the situation has been escalated already. I hope this will be resolved soon. I appreciate your patience.

We keep hoping this is resolved soon too!! It's hard to understand why computation is so hard to fix and is taking so long. It's getting harder to keep patience.

My wife's fitbit app is still the prior version...so I am using her mobile to see my nutrient data.  Would be nice if fitbit put out the prior version so we could go back one version while they fix this one.

I cannot see an answer this has been reported since 08/21. The response is not an answer.

@Colin.g.h Nice to see you again in the forums. Could you please link me to the report back in August 2021? I would like to check it out. Thanks in advance.

@Cshu Thank for the reply. Your feedback and patience are much appreciated.

@JC8888 I am glad you are still able to log your food via the older version. That is a workaround if you have not updated the app to the last version yet.

Regarding. the older version of the app, I have got to say that seen it happen. The app version was rolled back. You could just delete it and reinstall the prior version. However, this time it may not be that simple. I really appreciate your patience.

Have a nice day!

Deleted the app and re-downloaded it from Play store.  Same version.

I have seen the nutrient issue in the prior version .... a transient issue where the Nutrients were "off" for a short time (meaning less than 30 minutes) and they would self-correct.  Assumed that this was a transactional lag issue of some type.  A nuisance but not insufferable.

Though, I have seen this issue (not self-correcting) in the previous version. Uninstalling and re-installing the app would work as the app/tables would reset and data would be downloaded.  I racked this up to a bug in the app that caused table corruption.  While a nuisance..it was correctable with a re-install.  Only had to do it 2 times.

I am a heart patient and must keep an eye on sodium intake.  While I realize that the Fitbit database isn't PERFECT, it's certainly helped me keep a baseline on that micronutrient number... until this morning when I did the most recent update.  EVERY SODIUM INTAKE _cumlulative_ NUMBER (past and new) has JUMPED to astronomical numbers!!   HELP!
Here's a quick example of the first thing I entered this morning --
Premier Protein Chocolate nutrition label, 11 oz serving = 180 mg
Fitbit Nutrition Facts (for the individual item shows) = 180 mg
BUT... when you view the "Nutrients" for "Today" it shows 360 mg!  (yep, that's x2)
...and most alarming  ... my totals yesterday were 8681!!  (and all historical data is also impacted!) YIKES!
So, I KNEW that yesterday's total was wrong, and ran the numbers on the Fitbat database sodium counts for EACH entry.  That total is: 1423  (I watch these numbers CLOSELY!! So that looked more like what I recalled as I went to bed last evening.)
8681 v. 1423???  Really?  This all happened after I downloaded the most recent mobile update this morning. Yes, I have rebooted my phone.  I haven't uninstalled and reinstalled the app YET, but will stand by for suggestions?

Thanks!  ...and greetings from Cajun Country, LoUiSiAna!  Laissez les bons temps rouler!

UPDATE: I have completely unstalled the FitBit app; rebooted my phone; fresh installed the app ---- still not calculating correctly.

I truly depend on Fitbit for this data.

Hi @Bayoubug  we're the community forums and don't have all the answers you'd want for the sodium content. I've asked a Fitbit moderator to respond as they have more information.

Thanks, Lizzy... apparently I'm not in this "storm" alone!  Had I seen this thread earlier, I may have just sit tight.  Also I notice TODAY my cumulative total calories in seems to be stuck at some random number... and none of the things listed as I consumed have graphed and subtracted.  Such an interesting bug we have here!  🙂

So now my wife's fitbit app on her phone uipdated to the latest version and I no longer can see the nutrients.  I have a doctor/nutrionist appoint in one week and I need this data.  Been patient up to this point as I had a feasible workaround.  Now my only workaround is to go through every food I entered in the past 3 weeks and manually copy the individual data I need for each day and sum it.  At this point, I am more than disappointed that Google/Fitbit has not rolled back the version in Google Play so we can use a working app (not to mention that final code fix for this issue).

This is still an unresolved issue for me. Please help!
