One won't auto sync

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
I have a fitbit one paired to my galaxy s7 and it will sync when I open the app, but I want it to auto sync in the background.
Ive got a widget on my main screen that I would like to update through the day without having to open the app.
I've got all day sync turned on and always connected turned on, but still needs to be manually synced.
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Community @Juzzb! Have you make sure that the Bluetooth on your Samsung Galaxy S7 is enabled? 'cause remember that this is a requirement for your tracker to sync if you have the "All day sync" option enabled. In addition, I would like you to take a look into the instructions on @AlejandraFitbit post.

Let me know if that works!

I have the EXACT same problem.  I have just jumped through hoops with "customer service" and have gotten no where.  Did you get a resolution to this??

Hello @HeydyF!  Thanks for the response!  Below is what I was told to try...which I have, multiple times.  I am fairly tech savy, so I don't get why this has been such a problem...

"We are sorry to hear your One is still not syncing with your Android device.

Please follow the next steps to sync your Fitbit One:

1. Log out of Fitbit app.
2. Turn your Android device Off
3. Restart your tracker by following the instructions at How Do I Reset My Tracker?
4. Turn your Android device On.
5. Checked Bluetooth and Internet (Both must be On)
6. Log In the app.
7. Attempt to setup your One as a new device to your account by Tapping the menu icon in the top left corner>Tap Devices>Tap the + icon in the top right corner>Tap Add a new Device>Choose your One and follow the onscreen instructions to continue. Note that if you have not synced in over 24 hours, your activity data for previous days will be lost and only today's data will remain.

If the issue persist, please let us know when and where you purchased your One and your country of residence."

Interestingly, in the last couple days, I have noticed that my Fitbit One HAS autosync'd a couple of times.  This was totally random and I have no clue how or why it chose to work then.  I can tell you definitely it's not doing it every 15 minutes as the Live chat tech told me it should...any ideas?  I do have Android Lollipop on my LGG2 phone and have location enabled.  Thanks!

Thanks for your response @middljeSmiley Wink I appreciate you have taken the time to try all of those steps to make your One syncs. Now it seems that your tracker is syncing but not as often as it should if you have the "all day sync" option activated on your phone. Regarding your phone, for Android Lollipop OS, we suggest to have location enabled so you can sync without problem. So, as you have tried all of those steps, and the issue persists, you have to reach Fitbit Support and let them know about this. I'm pretty sure they find an alternative solution for you.

@HeydyF I do have location enabled.  It's weird because it will autosync at night and be ready for the next day.  I'm out of ideas.  I have tried to contact Fitbit customer service via phone for days but the line is ALWAYS busy no matter when I call.  I have emailed them, and done web chat.  I have just been told the same steps over and over again.  The last email I got from them told me my One was out of it's warranty period.  They did offer me a discount on a new device.  That doesn't help me at all because my device works FINE...it's just the syncing issue.  At any rate, thanks for trying to help. Smiley Sad

@middlje, how are you? Then if you tried all the suggested troubleshooting with Fitbit Support and your Fitbit One still not syncing, then I think it is time for an upgrade. Smiley Wink That is why they offer you a 25% discount, so you can get any other Fitbit tracker on our online store, at a more affordable price, and take advantage of the different features that the other Fitbit can offer for you to enjoy the fitness experience.
