Opt in to Health research and product development?

So my FitBit settings say I've opted out of Health research and product development. I don't recall doing this but, what's really bugging me, is it says I can opt in from the app but, for the life of me, I can't find where/how. Anyone happen to know?

PS- I'm accessing settings from within the app

I'd like to know as well. I don't see any way to turn it back on.

I got the exact same thing... It's annoying and no Fitbit personnel will comment about a fix lol

It isn't obvious. Click on the wording that it is on or off. another screen pops up with the option to switch to the other option. I found this by mistake.

I hope this helps and have a Terrific day!

No luck for me. Can you attach a screenshot of the screen you are mentioning? It is possible that it can be switched off, but not back on (see OP's screenshots above).

When I click into it I see a picture of a dog telling me to turn it on in the Fitbit app but there's no way to. Apparently this is a US only feature so this may be the issue for me.

Haha. Obviously if it was that easy I would've done it. There's no actual button to opt in...

It sounds like this is a new program they'll be introducing soon but don't have it fully ready yet, hence no opt-in button yet. Just my thoughts, though.

It's not. I had it enabled before, but accidentally opted out while migrating from Fitbit to Google account.

It's not new. Been there since I got my PW2 and started using Fitbit. October 2023.

Yeah, I see I've been part of it since 7/24/2023, which I don't remember opting into. No idea then 🤷🏻‍ sounds like a classic case of Google doing something on their side without telling anyone.

Yep, pretty much lol. I contacted Fitbit through chat and they escalated. I don't remember opting out 😂
