Pairing and Notifications issues with Samsung A8

I cannot get my Alta to pair with my new Samsung A8. Unable to get message or phone notications to show up on the fitbit. Anyone else encounter this problem or any suggestions to what might be the issue. tried just about everything.

Hi @jb-at-larryu, good to see you have joined the Fitbit Community! I'm wondering if you were able to pair your tracker with your phone? I can see in your Community profile that you have an Alta paired, so I would like to confirm this.

 

At this moment the Galaxy A8 is not listed as compatible. So we cannot guarantee the functionality of some features, since the app still is not optimized to work with this device. The Samsung Galaxy S7 seems to have all the hardware requirements to be a supported device, so it would not hurt to give it a try to these suggestions: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone.

Still unable pair my Samsung A8 with my Alta Fitbit. I have tried all suggestions to resolve the problem. Certainly hope that issues with the app to work with the A8 is resolved as soon as possible.
