Persistent "Connected GPS" message on app

I have the exact same problem as this topic:

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Persistent-quot-Connected-GPS-quot-message-on-Android/td...

It seemed to be fixed, but I have exact the same problem again and drained a lot of the battery.

Device: Charge 3

Phone: Google Pixel 3

OS: Android 10

App version: 3.12.1  (the problem began since last several versions)

The method I tried:

- blocking the location permission, set as "only when app is using"

- disabling GPS detection from all sports on my Charge 3

- disabling "always connect" in my app - device setting

- disabling automatic syncing

- clearing the app cache, re-installing the app

With all these done, the Fitbit GPS notification still pops up intermittently, and drains the battery.

Please do something to help?

Hi @abitzsong. Welcome to the Forums. I'm sorry for the delay.

Thanks for sharing detailed information about the Fitbit app including the link, as well for the steps tried prior posting. You did an amazing job! That message shouldn't be displayed and since the possible troubleshooting was exhausted, I've gone ahead and escalated this behavior to our team so they can further investigate. I'll continue being around and I'll update this thread once I have more details from them.

If you need anything else, don't hesitate to let me know.
