Phone compatibility

Good morning,

Down to the wire on choosing a activity tracker.  I am looking at the Charge 2 and the Charge 3.  I like the 3 it is just that there seems to be some purity major issues with it that from a quick search are still occurring. I see one of the "possible " causes is the compatibility of the phone.  I have a Moto X4 and use the google fi network.  Moto X comes up on the list but has a year next to it. (2013 or 2014).  I cant find a year in the "about phone" and have no idea if a "Moto X" in fitbit is the same as a "moto X4"

Any input is appreciated.  I don't want to return another fitness tracker!

Hi @Timca. That’s smart of you to do the research before purchasing a fitness tracker. One of the big requirements for compatibility is OS. From the Help page:

IS MY PHONE OPERATING SYSTEM COMPATIBLE WITH THE FITBIT APP?

To use the Fitbit app you must have one of the following operating systems installed on your phone or tablet:

  • Apple iOS 10 or higher
  • Android OS 5.0 or higher
  • Windows 10 version 1607.0 or higher

Does your phone have Android OS 5.0 or higher?

Yes, but I see on on other post (here and on redit) that others have the OS but their phone is not on the list and they are having the problem.  So I just want to make sure the bug is fixed or if it is just a phone compatibility thing that my phone is compatible. Sounds like this bug is not getting fixed soon Smiley Sad I was hoping to buy a charge 3.

Thanks

Tim
