Since the new app was released I am finding that I have to charge my phone twice as often as I did prior to the new app. The ONLY thing that has changed on my phone is the new Fitbit app.
I have a OnePlus 6T that could go 4 days without needing to be charged, now it needs to be charged every 1.5 - 2 days.
I am just curious if others are experiencing the same issue.

Hi @EdInCT. It's great to see you here again.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and I'm sorry for the experience that you've had with your phone. While it's odd that the Fitbit app is causing this situation, take in mind that having the location services or allowing any app, including the Fitbit app, running on the background will affect your phone’s battery life.
That being said, does this happen even if the Fitbit app isn't opened? Have you tried turning off the option to allow the Fitbit app to run on the background? Also, please provide me with the Fitbit app and your phone's OS version so I can further investigate.
I look forward to your reply.

Hi @LizzyFitbit,
Thank you for getting back to me. I am currently on app version 3.5. My phone's OS is Android 9.
I did turn off the Sync All Day, and this has helped. My phone's battery is not draining as fast as it was. However, it is still going down faster than it had been.

@LizzyFitbitI am sorry to say that my phone's battery is draining again.
I was getting the response that Fitbit.com was not available for a few hours yesterday. Once Fitbit.com became available and the app became alive again, my phone battery dropped 20% in just under 2 hours. I woke up today and my battery was at 12%. When I went to bed it was at 37%.
I checked and all-day sync is off. I also disabled notifications, which I had already turned off and somehow got turned back on.
As far as not letting the app run in the background, I have checked all permissions and cannot find a way to turn that off.
Thanks,
Ed
