Pixel 2 Compatibility

Fitbit needs to figure out the compatibility with Pixel 2.  It is a great phone and I would quickly fork over the money for a new Versa or (other Fitbit product) if they would solve this problem.  Otherwise I am off to find a new tracker and ditch the Fitbit. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be much of a concern to Fitbit.

I searched the phone compatibility list ... and still Fitbits are not compatible with the Pixel 2XL (assuming the info on the web page is correct).  Too bad.  I really wanted to buy two of these for my wife and I.

Even if the pixel 2 xl doesn't appear, it doesn't mean you can't use it with fitbit trackers, just don't expect everything will work as expected always.

I have a samsung j7, which doesn't appear on the list, yet my ionic works perfectly.

I'm using a Blaze with a Pixel 2 and as of last night, I am able to synch and am getting notifications again. Google pushed out an update last night, so I'm wondering if that's why it's suddenly working again. Hoping this is true as I would love to upgrade to the Versa in the future

Yesterday I completely deleted Fitbit app and disconnected (Alta) from bluetooth and reinstalled.  It synced immediately, and then stayed up to date for an hour or so, then has not been able to connect since.  Very frustrating.  It is just draining my phone battery because the app constantly says "syncing" but never actually does.

My friend had similar issues when he upgraded to the Pixel 2 XL, and gave me his watch (the Surge). I can't sync it with my Pixel 2 either. Luckily I have a 2nd phone on me most times (work phone) which is an iPhone - and I've just made it sync to that.

I'm very disappointed in FitBit for not making it compatible yet - they are Google's flagship phones and have been out for 6 months now. I hear rumors of Pixel 3 already. *sigh*

Another friend has the Alta and it connects to their Pixel 2 XL.  Would it help if they restricted the Compatibility lists to be per watch? idk.

I can empathize with your struggles, and I can say that I will NOT be buying a FitBit watch of my own until the Pixel 2 phones are added to the list.
