Pixel 3a and Charge 3 pair but no update

Hi there,

I just got a new Charge 3. It will let me pair the watch and the phone Pixel 3a (android 9). And even sync. But any software update action fails. So my watch shows me a gray bar and is pretty much useless. How is this possible (bluetooth pairing seems to work)

More importantly how can I make the watch usable?

Thanks for your inputs.

Hey, so this is what I did. I charged my watch the whole night. Then, still
plugged, I reset my watch (8 seconds hold), then unplugged it, but left it
in the charger case.

So my phone still was on this "Try Again" page in the app. I clicked the
butten then, magically, it finally installed the update (approx 30
minutes). Even though I reset the watch it would reconnect (because still
paired) and everything syncs.

So I think, leaving the app open after successful pairing was the key.

Summary:
1. Charge watch & pair (successful)
2. Charge watch & install update (failed)
3. Leave app open at "Try Again" page (still paired)
4. Reset watch (in the charger case, 8 seconds hold)
5. Click "Try Again" button (successfully updated watch)

Hope it helps.

I'm using a Pixel 3a with my Inspire HR.

While the pairing works successfully, it does have sync issues.
The Pixel 3a pairs successfully, and works for a few days, but then loses connection continuously. Sometimes after 2-3 days the phone Pixel 3a syncs successfully, and then is in disconnected mode for another 2-3 days. And so it goes on... It seems that the Pixel 3a has a sync issue with my Fitbit HR. I tried all suggested sync-issue Support articles, reinstalling the app, etc but no luck.

During the sync issue, it seems that Pixel 3a loses its connection to the FitBit device. In the FitBit app, it keeps on searching... and eventually times out.

I'd love to see FitBit Support look into this.
