Pixel Watch 2 not shown

Hello.
My daughter has a PixelWatch 2.
Can someone please explain to me what exactly I need to do to integrate the watch into her Fitbit account?
She is 16, but the account is still controlled via FamilyLink. The Fitbit app only shows me the children's watches. The support team couldn't really help me either. But we don't want that yet.

Thank you in advance

Hi, @cola5000, welcome to the community. You may find this article of use How do I manage my child in the Fitbit app? - Fitbit Help Center and this thread  Cannot configure pixel watch 2 with my son's accou... - Fitbit Community

I know @LZeeW has much more experience with this than I do.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Hi @cola5000.  My dear friend @Gr4ndp4 is giving me a little too much credit.  It's not personal experience, but reading lots of other posts.  You need to remove your daughter from your Family Link.  Other users say it might take a day or two for the "adult" devices to be available.  Other users say you can put your daughter back in another day or two after set up.

Not personal experience.  My children are grown.  My grandchildren are too young.  And I'm an iPhone user.  Hi, Alistair!  😉

Hello @cola5000

Just to let you know. Based on the posts I've seen in the Fitbit and Pixel Watch forums, the Pixel Watch is not compatible with managed accounts. Although the Pixel Watch will initially work after the child's account is moved back to FamilyLink, I read reports that the watch will stop working properly after a day or so.

This isn't the same for "adult" Fitbit devices. Those seem to work fine when the child's account is moved back to FamilyLink.

Did she got a new device?
I have no experience with the family accounts, so I didn't follow that part well. I just got a new phone and it wouldn't show my pixel watch 2. "Pair New Device" on watch didn't show any devices/phones. I had to go into bluetooth settings in the watch and select "transfer" before it would show up at all. Keep scrolling down past "pair new device". It's closer to the bottom. Now they are connected fine.
Unfortunately this could be totally unrelated. But since you haven't found anything yet, it might be worth trying, if the issue seems possibly related. Good luck.
