Hi everyone, hope you are well.
First time post and got an issue!
I have had a Pixel Watch 1 since Jan 23, and have had no issues with it, then approx 4-5 days ago after a treadmill session, I noticed the number of steps compared to the steps on the Andriod App did not match. This was frustrating on Thursday 5th September where despite hitting over 15k steps, my app recorded it as less then 15k, I was on a 3 week streak!
I didn't make much of the issue for the past few days, as I had the Pixel Watch 3 pre-ordered which arrived today and I've switched across.
But yet the issues continues.
Right now, this is what it is showing:
Andriod App: 13,939
Pixel Watch 3 Face: 15K
When I click on Steps on Watch: 14,979
What have I tried?:
Reboot both the phone (Pixel 9 Pro Fold) and the Watch
Delete Cache and Data on the Andriod App
Delete the app and reinstall and re-link on Andriod
Delete Cache and Data on Watch App and relink
I am at a loss now! Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
Got an answer from Google:
"Thanks for the details. I appreciate your time online. Upon further checking my tools, I could see that we're aware of that issue and currently looking forward to fixing it as soon as possible. We kindly ask you to wait a bit more for a resolution.
So it's not an issue with your watch, it's a general issue that we've been having for about a week in the fitbit app."

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Burdman660, @ulldins. I'm sorry to hear that the number of steps on your Pixel watch 3 and the Android app don't match.
Thank you for letting us know what the app shows and the steps you have tried @ulldins.
Please follow the instructions of help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
That hasn't worked, tried that article many times, Google Support have said this via Chat:

I reached out to Google support, and I was told this is a known issue that occured with the last app update, and the team is allegedly working on correcting it. I guess it has been seven days now.
Hello @ulldins
I've seen several Pixel Watch users reporting the same type of issue with their step count tracking.
Thank you for sharing what Support told you. I'm glad they confirmed my suspicion that the issue on the Fitbit side. Hopefully, it won't be too long before they roll out a fix.
As a Pixel Watch user, I know how annoying & frustrating it is when Fitbit & our devices are having problems and there's no troubleshooting we can do to fix it.

Phew! At least it is a known issue.
I just setup my Pixel Watch 3 on my Pixel 9 Pro Fold and noticed that my step counts didn't match. I also experienced some syncing issues when pulling down on the Fitbit home screen to force a sync. That has now righted itself but I still had different steps.
Fingers crossed this gets sorted asap.
I'm wondering if you've checked your history. When I noticed this issue on my account I went back and looked at my count for the year and all the sudden I'm under my goal for one month and several weeks over the course of this year and last (going back to the month I started using this watch last year) even though I know I've hit my goal for every day dating back years. I don't know what happened. I make sure to sync my watch and phone every night before I plug everything in and go to sleep. I'm really disappointed with this watch.

I contacted support again, and they still have not fixed the issue and don't have any estimate for when it will be fixed.
Moderator Edit: Word choice.
Really? Just yesterday, Saturday the 14th, mine showed 0 steps on the app and 14,186 steps on the watch. And it had been syncing as the app did correctly show 106 zone minutes, 7.11 miles, and 3 flights of stairs. Those were all correct. But the 0 steps was ridiculous. That persisted for about 5 minutes, then it showed the correct steps.

The current issue seems to be affecting syncing, mainly step counts.
I have noticed that my Pixel Watch 3 frequently lags on showing my step count update, especially after sleeping or sitting for prolonged periods.
Hopefully, when the problem is finally fixed, we won't see such an extreme lag in our step counts updating on the watch.

Best AnswerThere was an update yesterday, I think everything is fine now, the synchronization of the steps is finally correct
