Pixel Watch 4 does not work with Pixel 10 pro

ANSWERED

My Pixel Watch 4 says it is disconnected from my Pixel 10 Pro.  The Pro says it is connected to the watch.  I have chosen 'forget' on the phone, scanned for devices and reconnected.  The watch always shows "disconnected" to the Pixel 10 which it does list.  Fitbit on my watch does not record any exercise.  I cycled to work again today, chose the cycle app on the watch at the start and it recorded my trip.  I left swiped on the watch and chose to end the recording at the end of my ride.  I chose 'sync' in fitbit app on the watch and saw my phone app say syncing and then sync complete.  There is no record of any my rides since I got the watch last week.  Every day is the same.  So it looks like the Pixel Watch 4 is unable to record exercise?

It worked last evening and again this morning.  Probably best if I just keep an eye on the 'connected' status of my watch to my phone and restart the watch every time it loses the connection.

Hello @smbunn

I also have a Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel Watch 4. I've started workouts on my watch and see them in the Fitbit app when I'm done.

Do you see the Pixel Watch 4 in your Fitbit app when you tap on the device icon in the upper left of the Today page?

Have you tried setting up your watch as a new device in the Fitbit app?

I spoke to Google Pixel Watch tech support.  They had me restart the watch.  It now shows connected.  I recorded a dummy excercise and this showed up in the app.  I will see if it records my cycling this evening.  It looks like regular restarts to the watch are required. Also looks like the GPS only works very infrequently. It only recorded on a map for one of 14 cycling sessions.  So a very unreliable product.
