Since my pixel watch 1 received the November 5 2024 update last week, I can no longer track exercise. A minute or two after I start tracking any activity (e.g. aerobics, strength, yoga, etc), the watch shuts off and then eventually reboots itself after a few minutes. On both the watch and my phone (pixel 7) I've cleared Fitbit cache and storage, logged out and logged in, made sure the app and device OS are updated, turned off GPS in Fitbit - nothing helps. I've seen a few other reports on reddit, etc with others experiencing this, but no one has found a solution. I contacted Google support last week, who transferred me to Fitbit Support and was told it was being escalated to a higher level support team and I'd be contacted. I've heard nothing back and my watch is fairly useless to me a this point since I can't track my exercise. I've also not found a way to keep my heart rate displayed during a workout even with Always on Display turned on - the tile that shows the actual real time heart rate doesn't stay updated and/or closes out and goes make to my normal watch face. How do I get help for this?

Fastboot reset on pixel watch fixed this problem on my watch.

So now you can track exercises on your watch without it freezing or rebooting?
If so, how do you fastboot reset the watch when it's frozen in the Fitbit app?

Thanks! I actually did this today and it didn't resolve the issue with the Fitbit app freezing while tracking workouts.

Has anyone got any update on this issue? I have been facing the same issues with my pixel watch 1 since the November update. Very frustrating and basically the watch is of no use during workouts, because it doesn't track zoned minutes and heart rate anymore. And the frequent restart is totally clueless! Losing hope on Google and Fitbit all together.

I have received absolutely no solution from Fitbit or Google Support, both of whom asked me for additional information (like sending a video), which I did. Both support services can only offer me the "solution" of a reset or fast reboot, which has not solved the issue for me. It's very frustrating and I can no longer recommend any Google devices if they are going to break them after less than two years via software update and offer no resolution.
