Pixel watch 4

Hello, I just learned I could change my Gmail address and went ahead and did that but now the Fitbit app force shuts down. Doesn't even open anymore. I don't know if it's an issue with Fitbit itself or if there something technical happening. Just thought I'd try my luck here if any one has suggestions. I have already reset my watch, reset my phone, turned Bluetooth off and on, cleared app cache, and made sure that the app is up to date. My correct email IS showing up on Fitbit via Mobile app but again it's the widget on my watch that isn't opening which sucks cause I use it a lot for tracking my workouts and stuff and I CAN still do that on my phone but when working out it's so much more ideal to do it from my watch. Any ideas anyone?

Hello @Jperalta

This is the first report that I've seen on this issue. I'm trying to reach out the team to see if they are seeing other reports of similar issues and if there's a workaround/fix. I'll report back when I have an update to share.

Hi @Jperalta and @RiekoC, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with the exercise widget on the Pixel Watch 4 you are experiencing trouble with. Thank you for the troubleshooting you have already tried.

While i believe that changing your email address shouldn't interfere with your watch's operation, please clarify the following:

When you say the Fitbit app force shuts down and doesn't open anymore, how are you able to see your correct email address showing up on Fitbit app?

On the other hand, if it's the exercise app on your watch that shuts down, please confirm you have restarted your device by doing pressing and holding the crown for 3 seconds.

Finally, to ensure the proper environment your device is working in, confirm the Fitbit app is on the latest version (4.66). To check which version of the Fitbit app you have, tap the Today tab and then your profile picture and then Help. The app version is at the bottom.

Hello @Jperalta

I got a response back from the team. Here's what they recommend: Check your watch and see what Google account you have linked to it. Also try un-pair and re-pair the watch.

I believe the last part of the suggestion is to un-pair and re-pair your watch to the Fitbit app after you confirm that your Pixel Watch 4 is connected to your updated Google address.

Please let us know if that works to resolve the issue. If not, let us know and I will let the team know.
