Pixel watch not tracking sleep

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have worn my pixel watch to bed multiple times and every time it has not tracked my sleep.

I make sure the watch has at least 50% battery and I put it into bedtime mode. I also have a premium Fitbit account and I keep the app logged in and open in background in my phone.
I have read through help articles and could not find anything that can help so far

Hi Dan, welcome to the community. I know you've seen this article How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device? (I posted it to you in the Pixel forum) I see now a section on the Pixel Watch which is very useful. Is everything else working? You will see that HR is an essential factor in detecting sleep, is the LED flashing on the back of your device (also confirm you do not have a wrist tattoo)

I recommend you review the article previously posted, it is the result of many years of experience here.

Please also note you need about 3 hours of sleep before the sleep stages can be estimated, if you are a restless sleeper that may e an issue.

Give it a few nights & let us know how you get on by posting here again.

Cheers

Hi thanks for the reply.

I did look at the article and I did check some of the other features on the
watch. It is all working fine except the sleep minister. I don't have a
wrist tattoo and I did a sprint to change my heart rate to make sure that
was being tracked correctly and it was.

I'm going to try restarting the device and go to sleep with 100% to see if
that helps.

I'll post back here in a few days if it's still not working.

Hi, having the same problem. Tried fully charged and also restarting. Nothing works. No sleep tracking at all.

I also have another problem that the. Watch doesnt seem to sync with the app when i want it to (dragging down the today screen on the app), but only when i disconnect and reconnect the watch to the app.

Hi, @Elygiggi, welcome to the community. May I suggest you check the Fitbit app on your phone?

From phone settings>Apps>Fitbit>check all permissions granted>clear storage & Cache>mobile data & WiFi> ensure background data and unrestricted data usage are in the on position. In Battery>check usage is set to unrestricted. Also, check that your Pixel Watch is showing in connected devices. I regret I'm not able to supply better detail as I do not have a Pixel Watch at hand.

I trust you have reviewed the link I posted earlier to How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device? which provides guidance and advice.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers

Please Update the Apps (Play Store) on the Pixel Watch.

First thing I tried and no luck with it. I have decided to just return the pixel watch and get a Fitbit sense 2 instead.

Hopefully that's well thought out, I set up the Pixel Watch yesterday and everything is going great.  I'm excited about the Pixel Watch.

Please check whether the system updates have been completed on the Pixel Watch under System.  Keep updating all apps in Play Store.  Then force quit Fitbit app on phone and clear cache. Then start the Fitbit App in your Handy again.
