I have a second hand Blaze. It has sent data from the previous user to my app. How can I delete this please?

Welcome to the forums @LisetteJ

You'll want to set it up with your own email address and pair it to your phone.

What data are you seeing?

You can find all the information on the Blaze here - click

Hello Odyssey13.

Yes my phone is synced with my Blaze and the email address. All my information is coming through perfectly.

The data I have from the previous owner is predominantly active minutes and calories burned. I have been wearing the device for 3 days but have information showing from August and early September which is obviously not mine.

Any clues?

@LisetteJ when we all got our devices, it showed burned calories but the main thing is that it didn't show any steps.

We don't have a way to remove those things, but if it really bothers you, ask customer service to help you.

Those things don't hurt your step statistics.

Thanks Odyssey 13. I have actually contacted customer support just just in case there's a solution. It's quite demoralising when the previous owners data is a lot higher than your own! We shall see what happens. Thanks again

Hey there, @LisetteJ! It is nice to have you here. Like our friend, @Odyssey13 said, it is unlikely for this to happen, because the information is saved directly on your Fitbit account and not on the tracker itself, so at the moment you setup your tracker to your email address, the information is all yours. It could be that this are the calories automatically given by just existing based on your personal information or is it too high?

Hello Solange Fitbit .. I know it does seem very strange. I got my Blaze a week ago, but on my phone it's showing data from early August, but only active minutes and calories burned, very little else? Which to me makes no sense as surely to calculate this data, steps taken are required? Customer support suggest I contact the previous owner to ask them to' forget the Blaze '. The problem is that it's from a shop, a long way away and would they have a record of the previous owner? Highly unlikely. 😞 I don't think it's taking my data as a guide as the information is considerably higher.

Hey there, @LisetteJ! Thanks for the updates! I was checking with my team your situation and we think those active minutes could have been because the tracker was in movement on that day. At the moment setup your tracker the information from the last 7 days was uploaded to your dashboard. Unfortunately there is no way to negate this active minutes but you should not have any more inconveniences, but be sure that this is not someone else's information.

Happy stepping and let me know if you have more questions! Man Very Happy
