Problem scanning bar codes

Hey everyone.
So when I scan some bar codes fitbit says it's not in the data base and proceeds to tell me that with a few more photos it will send it to fitbit to add whatever the item is. Does anyone know how to do this? All it says is to scan a new bar code and yeah no cigar. Lol any help?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @SunsetRunner It's great to have you here. Please be aware the barcode scanner is only available for customers using the US food database. If you have chosen a non-US food database, you'll see the barcode scanning option but it won't work, this will include the option to send requests. You can see the food database you are on in your Personal settings. More information about scanning food can be found in this post.

I moved this thread to the Android app board because it's more related to the topic. Thanks for stopping by, see you around. Smiley Very Happy

Will there ever be one for Canada? Because Canadian alcohol is very crucial
for calorie counting.

@SunsetRunner I found a suggestion to implement the barcode scanner internationally. You are welcome to participate in the discussion in the Feature Request board. If any update is available it will be communicated as soon as possible.

Hope to see you around more often. Cat Happy
