Hi,

I know Fitbit collects location information during an exercise that has 'Connected GPS' enabled. My question is; Does Fitbit, the app or the company collect location under any other circumstances? For example, on Android, if the App is closed, does Fitbit collect location information periodically in the background?

Please be sure to read through our Privacy policy @SunsetRunner. In addition, if you provided the app with access to the location services of your phone then it could theoretically access your location but will only actively collect that data when you prompt it to, like when tracking an activity with GPS.
