Quick Reply isn't Working

I am not seeing an option to respond with a quick reply  to text messages.  I am using a new Versa.  I am using a Galaxy S8.  I tried it with a third party text app and my native Samsung text app.  Any ideas?

I have tried everything.....and been on the phone with Fitbit extensively.
At one point customer service offered up that Fitbit is due for an update
and that would help the issue. Some phones apparently work and some do
not. They should fix it.

Hey @paka955 and @Brighteyedbecki.

@Brighteyedbecki glad to read that you found those steps useful!

@paka955 Did you try what was suggested in the link I shared? It seems to do the trick. If not, please  give it a shot and see how it goes.

Let me know if there are any further questions.

I am very dissatisfied with Fitbit.  They need a major upgrade which they admitted to me on the phone to get the Versa to work properly.

Same problem,  was working until it updated, Verizon messenger works with replies, but my textra messenger quit giving me an option to reply. Frustrating.

Hello @paka955. Welcome to the Forums @YogaGma1.

Thanks for sharing your feedback on the matter.

Please do try the steps that were recommended in this thread. They seem to have helped other users get their Textra app to work correctly with your Fitbit.

@LanuzaFitbit

I have a Versa Fitbit and using a Samsung J1. Ive been reading the instructions youve asked @paka955 if shes done them. Ive done them all but the Textra. I dont want to put another app on my phone. So the question im asking should i be able to do it with the message system thats already on my samsung? Because at the moment i can view the text messages but just cant respond.

Thanks for helping.

Ha. No. I've tried both. It is a function that's advertised but it won't
work. It's frustrating to spend that amount of money on a watch and not
have all the functions available.

Welcome to the Forums @EMP5. Hello @paka955.

@EMP5 Thanks for your question. It should work with the messaging app that come with the phone itself.

Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions.

I followed the directions given in this post from razerf15, for the settings in textra, 'Define Notification Actions' and I was then able to get my versa to work correctly and be able to reply to my messages.
Thank you razerf15!!

Try this. Click 'Define Notification Actions' and define the Android Heads-up Buttons to your liking. [20180511_145655.jpg]

Hello @EMP5@YogaGma1 and @paka955 .

@YogaGma1  Thanks for posting that!

@paka955  She's referring to these steps.

@EMP5  It should work with that Android version. Maybe you could try the steps I mentioned above? It is possible that they could help.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
