Readings not the same

Hello I have logged into my account online via the dongle and it says I have walked 14000 steps, I try to sync my flex to my S5 and it shows only 6288 steps, why such a large difference???

It sounds like one of the two is out of sync. 

On the website dashboard, in the upper left, when does it say it last synced?

On the app, in the "devices" menu, when did your phone last sync?

Sorry I wrote that post wrong, my flex has all lights lit up as I am over my 10000 steps, but both dashboards say only 6288 steps, i have synced numerous times but nothing happens...
