Sometimes the app shows live heart rate, but sometimes it doesn't. How do you bring it up when wanted?

Hi there @JanisAmiee, nice to have you here in the Fitbit Community! In this case you can see the heart rate in live mode, when the tracker has an stable connection with your tracker you will see an signal icon in green in the top of the screen right next to your tracker's icon.

When this connection is enable, the hear rate data will be display in real time. However if the connection is interrupted you won't be able to see this data.

There is  nothing manual you need to do in order to enable this option since your tracker as soon you open the app will start connecting with your phone. However you can improve this connection by doing the following:

  • Turn on the Always Connected option in the Fitbit app. This setting improves the Bluetooth connection between your phone and Fitbit device. Note that turning on this feature may cause the battery on your Fitbit device to drain more quickly than normal.
  • Turn on All-Day Sync in the Fitbit app. This setting prompts your Fitbit device to periodically sync with the Fitbit app but may shorten battery life on your phone or Fitbit device.

Hope this helps. See you around in case you have other questions.
