The notifications icon in my app shows that I have two new notifications/messages. When I tap on the notification icon, it opens notifications and messages tabs and shows that I have two new messages. When I tap on the messages tab, there are zero messages. There are also no new notifications in the notications tab.
I reached out to the chat for help and could not resolve the problem by updating the app, rebooting my phone, or logging in and out of the app. John in the chat told me that it was a normal feature of the Fitbit app to show that there are two new messages when there are zero messages and suggested that I request that Fitbit remove this feature from the app.
If this is actually an app "feature", what purpose does it have other than to annoy users? Please remove this "feature". Thank you.
