Remove Premium icon from home screen

How do I remove the "Premium" tab icon from the lower right part of my home screen. I don't want the service and never will.

Just updated to most recent update and that is when it showed up.

Thanks for having updated the Fitbit app and let me help you with your question. Currently the Fitbit app will display that icon by default so any user can acquire and access to Premium in an easier way. I understand your point of view since you don't have a subscription for that benefit and while there isn't an option to remove it, our team will keep working on the app based on your feedback to improve its functionality.

any progress getting rid of the premium icon? It pops up way too easy by accident, and, way too easy to make an unintended purchase.

Like Ed, and I’m sure most people, I just use the activity tracker and will never use premium. 

So can you let us know how to remove the premium icon? Or when we will be able to remove it?
