Hi @Bonnied07  sync and then remove the device from your account. click for directions. You'll want to move that old device out of range of the new one while setting up - about 25 feet. Then set up the new Fitbit on your existing account. Your history will be there. Let us know how things go for you.

@Odyssey13 we really do not need to remove the old tracker.

  • Do an Add Device
  • Choose the Charge 4.
  • The Fitbit app will give you a warning that the Charge 2 will be removed.
  • You agree. To this
  • The Fitbit app will sync the Charge 2
  • The Fitbit app will then step you through the setup of the Charge 4.

If the Charge 4 setup succeeds the Charge 2 will be removed.

If the setup of the Charge 4 fails. The Charge 2 will not be removed from the Fitbit account.

This is why I never recommend anyone to remove a tracker that is not syncing.

If they do an add device with the replace option they will limit the problems.

I just updated from Charge 2 to Charge 4, and I was not prompted to remove the 2. They are both currently showing up. What should I do?

Wow, they have changed their logic. It use to remove the Charge 2, then we had to add the Charge 2 back on.

Since only the Charge 4 runs Fitbit OS, there isn't a problem with having both trackers connected.

What should you do, it is up to you.

You have your choice. Sync the tracker, choose the model you want to use.

Where the one model when the other model is being charged.
