After four years with a simpler fitbit, I sprung for the Charge 3 in early December 2018. It stopped syncing with my Galaxy S9 in March, so, after lots of time spent on the phone with the helpful customer service people, Fitbit sent me my first replacement. Now it's July and after several weeks of very irregular and infrequent syncing, I again spent a long time on the phone doing all the troubleshooting. End result, they are sending me my second replacement fitbit, only 7 months after I purchased the Charge 3, and only 4 months after they replaced that one. I am still waiting for that second replacement to arrive, and I'm nervous that it won't last either.
I requested from Fitbit that they extend my warranty for one year, from July 2019. If they are making a product that works well and lasts as it should, there should be no problem with extending my warranty. If they are making faulty products (which is what I seem to be experiencing) they should fix the problems, but meanwhile, they should extend my warranty just to show that they believe in the reliability of their own product -- and to keep me as a loyal fitbit customer, which is what I really want to be. However, they have denied my warranty extension, saying it's not their policy and that's that. This makes me unhappy and unsure of whether I would want to spend money on Fitbit ever again. Why won't they stand behind their product???? I've seen that others on here also have experienced problems. What do you do?

Nice to see you around @jan72361. Thanks for jumping in @Odyssey13.
Thank you for your feedback in regards our warranty, we strive for excellent customer service. Customer satisfaction remains our number one goal, however, the demands of running a global business require that we now enforce our warranty consistently.
Each scenario is different, I really appreciate your feedback. This is the best way to make your voice heard. I understand you've invested in the Fitbit Family, however, Fitbit as any other company have policies to follow through. If you have doubts about the response that received from our team, please feel free to get back to them. They will be glad to give you more details about your warranty options.
By the way, I'm moving your post to the Ionic Board for categorization purposes.
Thanks for your understanding.

Hi @jan72361
Not everyone has an experience such as the one you described. I've been using Fitbit devices for almost six years and family members have used them almost four years without any major problems. The warranty policy - click to read - is the same for everyone, depending on where they live in the world. Did you buy an extended warranty when you got the Charge 3? I know that Square Trade sells them no matter where the device is purchased.
Fitbit does care, but because they can't extend the warranty doesn't mean your next replacement won't work perfectly fine. Hope all works well for you.
