Replacing Versa with Versa 2

Got a new Versa 2. Gifted my old Versa to my husband and he's all set up with his new Fitbit account. Now trying to connect my new Versa 2 to my existing Fitbit account using Fitbit app with no success. Please help!!

It's hard to help with no idea what you have done or how it failed. 

Did you go through 'Set up a Device', logged into your old account?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I did go through the "Set up a device" process! Every time I click on that option it scrolls and then returns me to that same screen. Stuck in a loop???

Have now restarted my Samsung phone. It recognises the Versa 2 but now wants to update the Fitbit app. I'll keep at it.
