Dear Fitbit Team,
As Ukrainian users of Fitbit products, we are reaching out to request the addition of the Ukrainian language in your devices and mobile application. Currently, many of us face difficulties due to the absence of our native language, and it is disheartening to see that Russian is supported while Ukrainian is not.
In light of the current geopolitical situation and Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine, the lack of support for the Ukrainian language is not only inconvenient but also feels like an endorsement of Russia's imperialistic stance and its efforts to suppress the Ukrainian identity. We believe that by prioritizing Russian while ignoring Ukrainian, Fitbit is unintentionally contributing to linguistic imperialism and undermining the sovereignty of Ukraine.
We urge you to consider the inclusion of Ukrainian language support as a way to show respect for your Ukrainian customers and to demonstrate your company's commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and cultural sensitivity.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter. We hope that you will address this issue in future updates to your products and services.
Sincerely,
Iryna
Concerned Ukrainian Fitbit Users
