Restart is required to enable notifications

Hello,

So I have a Versa 2 and I'm using the android app. Everything was peachy for a while then I stopped getting notifications on the watch. The app says 'restart is required to enable notifications...'

I read forum posts and got what I thought was a solution (clear data in the app settings) but now I have to clear data every day, log back in to the app and enable everything again, tedious.

Does anybody have a permanent solution?

Hi @Becky.Balboa I would go through the setup checks. This is often because of some setting in the phone is wrong.

Hi @Becky.Balboa, welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for the details that were shared in your post and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device you're currently using? Also, when was the first time you experienced this and how often do you receive the error message described in your post?

If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Fitbit are correctly configured and to try some troubleshooting steps.

@Rich_Laue Thanks for the helpful information that was shared in your post.

Looking forward to your reply.

i have a Sense and  do not receive emails or long text messages.  i receive short text messages.   not that i would want to receive long text or long emails on my watch, but it would be nice to get notified of a least the first 10 or 20 words.
