Samsung A40 compatibility

I've just read on here that Fitbit is not compatible with the A40, (strange it worked b4 the last upgrade). What app would be recommended to sync with my Carge 2 if Fitbit aren't interested supporting it. Thanks

Hi @Jonnywa. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and let me help you with your question. Currently the Fitbit app hasn't been optimized to work with the Samsung A40 model, and this is the reason why some features such as syncing may not always work. Our team has received feedback from our members and they're working hard to add more models to our official list. Let me suggest to add your vote to this request posted in the Feature Suggestions boardThe more votes an idea receives, the better chance it has of getting the attention of the developers.

While we cannot guarantee a full performance, although you've tried some steps I'd recommend to give a try to the following steps in the given order:

  1. Remove your Charge 2 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby.
  3. On your phone's settings, tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear cache.
  4. Go back one screen, tap on force stop and reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile's picture > Charge 2.
  6. Tap on sync now and wait until the process is done.

Make sure the Fitbit app is allowed to run on the background, as well to have the Always connected and All-day sync enabled to improve the connection between your tracker and phone.

I'll be around, keep me posted.
