Irritated that after all of this time I still can't get text messages, calendar, or emails on my fitbit using the Samsung Galaxy 8 plus!!! The only alert I get on my fitbit is telephone calls. Yes...I restarted, re-installed, turned on/off etc. still not working!
Fitbit techs have been useless & not able to fix/come up with a solution!

Thanks for bringing that up and sharing all of the steps that you have tried to get it to work.
In this case I'd recommend that you verify that all of the permissions are there. You can look into this by going into the phone's Notification settings.
Additionally, make sure that you have selected the apps you'd like to get notifications from. This can be checked by following these steps:

I am on Samsung Galaxy J8 and have similar issue...but not even getting phone calls. I followed all of the instructions,restarted, added as a new device, uninstalled, put the app back on...etc..but nothing seems to work..

Fitbit gave 50% off offer for newer fitbit. I have the Versa now & it works perfectly with my Samsung galaxy 8+, hope that helps.

Nice, that would be great. Did they do this via email or did you have to call them. Maybe they'll just see this and offer it to me as well! If not I think I'm just going to continue to post here and hope somebody can answer or solve the problem.
