Same issue. I go to Bluetooth on my phone and 1 out of 30 tries Bluetooth will show ZIP. I click on it to PAIR but get message that says CANNOT COMMUNICATE WITH ZIP. Okay so I go to the FitBit app on my phone and try to SET UP DEVICE. It say immediately FOUND YOUR ZIP . Then it asks me about battery, etc because for some reason, it won't PAIR or SYNC or anything. Yet, when I check the app it is showing steps, distance and calories. How does it track calories if it's not syncing or even paired with the phone?

I'm not sure. I have had this same phone for a couple of years now. The FitBit worked perfectly well for a year and now all of the sudden this is what I get. It's frustrating but now I just figure things by hand. The only reason I keep the app on my phone is to log calories. I think it is hopeless at this point.
