Samsung J6+ not syncing notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently got my partner a Fitbit charge 2 for Christmas but it doesn't sync the notifications. Her phone is a Samsung J6+ and noticed this is not on the list of compatible phones.

I was wondering if this phone is going to be compatible at anytime?

I cannot get my fitbit charge 3 to connect to my samsung j6 handset

The phone picks up the fitbit through Bluetooth sends a code

When I enter the code sent to the fitbit it says connecting but that's all it does it just repeats over and over and can't sink

I've checked all app settings and everything is switched on

I am a bit annoyed as I only went out and bought this phone as I had a similar problem trying to get the charge 3 to pair with my old Huawei y7

Welcome to the Forums @Fryup67 and @Ray72.

Congratulations on your new Charge 2. Let me help you try to get the notifications to work.

This might be happening because the Galaxy J6 and J6+ is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.

As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps  helps with the syncing and these help for the notifications.

If none of the above works, you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and sync your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to sync with other devices.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Do Fitbit have any plans to update their supported phone models to include the Samsung J6+. I have just bought one and have lost notification support. This was fantastic on my previous Lenovo phone where I could have the phone on silent  in the office and get notification via my Fitbit Charge 2 when messages or calls came in. Please say support is coming soon!
