Samsung Note 10.1 and Alta HR not syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got my Alta Hr today and am having issues with my samsung note 10.1.

I did not want issues so I researched and contemplated for months prior to purchasing.

My tablet is listed as compatible and has Android os 4.1.2 and no updates are available.

Fitbit app version 2.15.1.

The app loads fine and everything is good up until it wants to sync and set up the fitbit.

The screen flashes and it says to update the application, I would think ig refers to the fitbit app but I just downloaded it today, it is the most up to date version.

I don't know what the problem can be and I did all the reasch to avoid any issues so please help!

Hello @Cnjmama, first of all I would like to give you a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, nice to have you here!

I have seen this before and I wanted to step in to give you some extra help. By the version you mentioned I can tell is not the most recent, since for the Android platform the most recent version is 2.62.1 released on November 22nd.

Have you reviewed if the google play store does not show another update? The syncing issues you are experiencing it might be related to the version of the app. You're correct by mentioning your Android devices is listed as compatible, so it should sync with no hassle.

Other thing it should help, is to restart the app:

Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

See you later and don't forget to keep me posted.
