Samsung S9 GPS accuracy

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

 Hello,

I just got a Samsung S9 and I'm having issues with the GPS accuracy when I run. It's not jumping all over the place, but it's reducing my distance run, which seems to be an opposite problem from what most people have with GPS settings. I fiddled with the "location" settings (set to high accuracy), with no luck. Any suggestions?

Hello @AndrewRun. Thanks for joining the Forums.

This might happening because the Galaxy S9 is not currently a supported device. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with it as of yet and some issues like this might happen. Please do know that the team is definitely aware of the multiple requests to expand the list further.

Having said that, I'd like to take a closer look in case it is not related to that. Please answer the following questions:

  • What Fitbit are you using?
  • Are you tracking the activity with your phone or with your Fitbit?

It seems like the pictures didn't come through but judging by what it says next to the broken images, they are runs. Is that correct?

Let me know if there are any other questions.
